Fig Tree Hill is a rustic new resort retreat for those who want to indulge in a secret hideaway far away from the world. Four contained chalets come complete with a master bedroom, resplendent, with a canopied bed curtained in muslin fluttering in the breeze. Outdoor bathrooms let you walk into your own private garden to take a rain shower. A spacious leisurely sitting room with smooth teakwood settee and gem coloured cushions scattered for comfort. Antique Dutch lamps hang from the high timber ceilings whilst a full wall to floor glasspicture window composes a painting of the natural wild rainforest outside.
An open air dining surrounded by wild heliconias provides the perfect setting for an intimate dinner for two or to host a wine dinner for select guests. A personal butler is assigned to attend to all your needs and see to your comfort. Each chalet comes with its own fully equipped kitchen. Timbered floors are covered with ethnic rugs and railway sleepers form steps and walkways leading to paths to be discovered.
Outside birds sing at dawn and cicadas chorus at dusk. Red dragonflies dance above the natural pool and among the cypress reeds. A floating pavilion sits on the water. Cascading white veils of water empties into tiered lily ponds next to it. Stoned pathways are lined with ornamental flowering banana trees, giant monsteras and fragrant frangipanis reaching out to caress passerbys.
A surprising spring bursts out right in between two chalets. This trickling spring trips over smoothen river bed rocks and tumbles happily from the hilly areas to join into pools of water. Morning walks following these meandering streams will take you to cascading waterfalls and grassy banks beside bamboo groves. Shady jungle trails beckons to be explored. A gym, jacuzzi, Japanese sauna and swimming pool caters for lazy afternoons. Open decks and thatched pavilions beside the water’s edge or by thejungle, fanned by cool breezes, provides a quiet reading spot for the afternoon. A frill wine bar for after dinner drinks and a karaoke room provides entertainment for the night.
